I’m Sara Gagguturu from Suwanee, Georgia. I am currently a junior at Northview High School. I started learning piano at age 3 1/2 and have been taking lessons from my teacher, Mrs. Julie Yu, for twelve years. The first song I made was when I was three singing about my brother and me. After high school I plan to go to college and major in psychology and minor in music. My dream school is UCLA! I’m not sure about what career to go into but I do know I want music to be a part of my life forever. My other interests include volunteering at a therapy center for special needs kids as well as being a math tutor for elementary kids in my free time. I did gymnastics when I was younger and continued my passion for dancing in Color Guard during high school! I am part of the International Thespian Society and love the arts. I also am a member of HOSA and recently won 1st place in the state for the MRC Partnership event. As I move forward with my life, I am grateful for the role music has played in shaping who I am. My music journey, being guided by my teacher, Julie Yu, has changed me from a shy kid to a persevering musician. Thanks to the profound influence of music and Mrs. Julie, I have found my deep love of arts in all forms. I know that wherever I am in life, I will always have music with me.
